Global Trade Classifier (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Perform HTS and ECCN classification determinations for semiconductor manufacturing systems, spare parts, and other products.
• Audit classifications and maintain the master classification database and SAP/GTS for the United States and other jurisdictions.
• Research import and export requirements, including licenses, permits, government approvals, and special trade programs.
• Support customs audits, compliance reviews, inquiries, training, data collection, and record keeping.
• Analyze trade data and compliance reports, identify root causes of issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in international trade projects, develop procedures, and monitor new trade processes.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in U.S. HTS and ECCN classification.
• Degree in mechanical, automotive, industrial production, or aeronautical engineering.
• Understanding of HTS and ECCN classifications in other jurisdictions.
• Mechanical or industrial production experience, including GD&T and technical drawing interpretation.
• Strong Microsoft Office, data analysis, administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, track action items, and ensure completion.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor, flat-panel, or solar-cell manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SAP GTS, TeamCenter, Unigraphics, or other CAD software.
• Familiarity with international trade, import, and export terminology.
• Experience using GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO explanatory notes, and export regulations for classification analysis.
