Export Control Specialist (Nuclear)

Location: 100% onsite at the El Segundo, California headquarters

Salary: $100.5K–$142.8K annually, plus equity.

hirify.global is a startup developing mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors, including the 1-megawatt Kaleidos reactor.

What you will do

• Lead commodity classification for nuclear microreactor products.
• Advise Supply Chain and Engineering on export controls and sanctions during procurement.
• Review internal documents and public-release media for export-control and intellectual-property considerations.
• Manage export-control licensing applications and reporting.
• Develop and execute policies integrating export control, trade compliance, and energy regulations.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in export controls, trade compliance, sanctions, or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with ITAR and EAR classifications and licensing.
• Experience developing and implementing Technology Control Plans.
• Must work 100% onsite at the El Segundo headquarters.
• The role involves access to technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience in the nuclear industry, at a national laboratory, or in the federal government.
• Experience with Part 810 and Part 110 classifications and licensing.
• Experience implementing OFAC compliance.
• Experience with federal contracting and procurement provisions such as DFARS and Section 1260H.
