Property Claims Adjuster II (Metro Atlanta, GA - WFH)

Location: Work from home while covering Metro Atlanta, Georgia and surrounding areas; day travel to policy locations is required 3–4 days per week, with occasional overnight travel and catastrophe assignments.

Salary: $62,500–$93,500 expected starting range; national range $62,500–$115,500 per year.

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve moderate to severe property damage claims by phone and through face-to-face interactions.
• Determine policy coverage, apply claims practices, and manage reserves within delegated authority.
• Write estimates, assess repair requirements and local market pricing, and handle claims from start to finish.
• Conduct onsite and virtual property inspections, including rooftop inspections, and support additional territories in a desk adjuster capacity when needed.
• Identify fraud and subrogation opportunities with the Special Investigations Unit and Subrogation teams.
• Provide clear guidance and service to policyholders, claimants, repairpersons, attorneys, agents, and internal partners.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of property claims handling or insurance field adjusting experience.
• Solid experience with Xactimate and independent estimate writing.
• Construction experience in residential, roofing, remodeling, or water mitigation.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; applicable state licensing and claims certifications where required.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and inspect first- and second-story rooftops with pitches up to 8/12, work outdoors in varied weather, and travel regularly.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; availability for irregular hours, on-call work, overnight travel, and catastrophe duty is required.

Nice to have

• Customer service experience involving flexible schedules and extended work hours.
• Ability to obtain Xactimate Level 1 certification within one year and Level 2 certification within two years.
