Property Outside Claim Representative

Location: 100% remote, based in CA - Glendale; may include mobile work and deployment to other states for catastrophe response

Salary: $67,000–$110,600 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives

What you will do

• Handle first-party property claims of moderate severity and complexity throughout the claim life cycle.
• Inspect property losses, document damage with photographs, and prepare written or computer-assisted estimates.
• Investigate coverage, damages, liability, business interruption calculations, and relevant policy or contractual documents.
• Set reserves, determine settlement amounts, validate contractor and independent adjuster estimates, and negotiate settlements.
• Maintain claim files, diaries, inventories, correspondence, quality standards, and compliance with applicable state regulations.
• Participate in catastrophe deployments of at least 16 days, including travel days, and perform physically demanding inspections involving ladders, roofs, and tight spaces.

Requirements

• One year of previous outside property claim handling experience or successful completion of the hirify.global Outside Claim Representative training program.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
• High School Diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• General knowledge of Xactimate and intermediate skills in investigation, coverage analysis, damage evaluation, negotiation, judgment, and decision-making.
• Advanced customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required insurance license(s) and/or UAS Remote Pilot Certification, generally within three months of starting when required.
