Claim Rep, Outside Property

Location: 100% remote, but the selected candidate must reside in the assigned Maryland territory and service insureds and agents in the Maryland area; the role includes mobile field work.

Salary: $67,000–$110,600 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Handle first-party property claims of moderate severity and complexity through investigation, coverage review, evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and resolution.
• Conduct field inspections, document damage with photographs, and prepare written or computer-assisted estimates using cost-evaluation tools.
• Analyze policies, leases, contracts, business interruption calculations, deductibles, limits, appraisals, and contractor estimates to determine settlement amounts.
• Communicate and negotiate with insureds, contractors, agents, representatives, and other business partners within settlement authority.
• Maintain accurate claim files, diaries, reserves, documentation, quality standards, and compliance with applicable state regulations.
• Participate in catastrophe response deployments, which may require travel to other states for a minimum of 16 days including two travel days.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of outside property claim-handling experience or successful completion of the hirify.global Outside Claim Representative training program.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
• Bachelor's degree, two or more years of outside property claim-handling experience, and general knowledge of Xactimate are preferred qualifications.
• Advanced customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills, with intermediate investigative, analytical, coverage-analysis, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to inspect dwellings and structures, carry and set up a 38–49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, and enter tight spaces during catastrophe deployments.
