Sales Consultant (Luxury Furniture)

Location: Newport News, Virginia, United States; onsite showroom role

Compensation: $15/hour during 2–6 weeks of training; post-training base pay of $11/hour plus commission and bonuses; average annual earning potential of $45,000–$65,000+.

What you will do

• Sell furniture, accessories, design services, and related offerings while contributing to store sales goals.
• Guide customers through premium sales consultations, including needs discovery, product presentations, objections, closing, follow-up, and after-sale service.
• Schedule and conduct professional home consultations with customized room designs, fabric samples, furniture, tables, accessories, and installation recommendations.
• Provide customer support by phone and email, resolve issues and complaints, and maintain customer satisfaction through follow-up systems.
• Support showroom presentation, product displays, order documentation, deposits, deliveries, store records, and opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with training and coaching peers on product knowledge and the company selling process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and the ability to close sales are strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities, work effectively with others, and meet assigned goals.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and the schedule required by business needs.
• Strong attention to detail, Microsoft Office proficiency, ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and pass background and drug screening.

Nice to have

• Luxury sales or retail experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
