Sales Design Consultant (Interior Design)

Location: Batavia, IL, US; on-site showroom role

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually

What you will do

• Greet and qualify showroom customers, understand their needs, and recommend flooring and home design solutions.
• Prepare design proposals, quotes, measurements, and project documentation.
• Manage sales from the initial consultation through closing and follow up on leads.
• Coordinate with installation and operations teams to support smooth project delivery.
• Maintain product knowledge, update showroom displays, and track customer interactions and sales activities in company systems.

Requirements

• Proven sales experience with a record of meeting goals, closing deals, and building long-term customer relationships.
• Strong customer service, active listening, clear communication, and consultative selling skills.
• Knowledge of interior design principles, furniture, furnishings, flooring, color palettes, and room layouts.
• Comfort working in a retail showroom and using POS or CRM systems.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and effective collaboration with sales, design, and installation teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
