Analyst, Junior Quantitative Developer - Core Platform (Python)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work arrangement with regular office attendance and 18 remote workdays per quarter subject to manager approval

Base salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and additional total rewards programs.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain core backend services and APIs that power product features.
• Develop shared platform components for frontend and backend applications.
• Build and improve data pipelines and platform integrations.
• Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, automated testing, and service reliability practices.
• Partner with product and design to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Support safe releases through feature flags, gradual rollouts, logging, metrics, telemetry, and API documentation.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of development experience with backend services, platform engineering, or data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of web application architecture and frontend/backend request flow.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Azure, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with API design, event-driven architecture, telemetry patterns, and collaborative Git workflows.
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience, with clear communication of technical decisions to product and non-technical collaborators.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with feature flags and financial products.
