Staff Software Engineer (Platform Core Team) (Fintech)

Location: Seattle, United States; hybrid working model. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $175,000–$220,000 per year, plus stock options and an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is a hyper-growth Series B fintech company building an AI-powered WhatsApp remittance product for Latin immigrants in the US, using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize foundational microservices and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Improve platform resilience with retries, circuit breakers, fallbacks, automated recovery, monitoring, and observability.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve system efficiency, scalability, and availability during continued growth.
• Set the platform’s architectural vision and evaluate system interactions, data flows, and company-wide technical impact.
• Collaborate with Staff Engineers across Payments, Disbursements, and GRC on infrastructure, API contracts, and event-driven standards.
• Mentor Senior and Mid-level engineers and promote strong practices in system design, testing, domain-driven design, and CI/CD.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating complex distributed systems.
• Expertise in Python, Go, or Java, with experience in REST APIs, gRPC, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, idempotency, concurrency control, failure domains, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with resilience engineering, observability, and monitoring solutions.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, or equivalent cloud-native stacks.
• Strong architectural leadership, cross-functional influence, rapid delivery, and fluent or advanced English.
