Supervisor - Corrosion

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts, United States. Field work is assigned to the specified location, with travel to other operating divisions or company locations as needed.

Salary range: $96,400,000–$120,500 based on experience, plus up to 16% bonus.

What you will do

• Establish, maintain, and report on corrosion control, cathodic protection, and statewide damage prevention programs.
• Supervise bargaining-unit employees and coordinate technical support contractors and consultants.
• Maintain cathodic protection readings, corrosion inspection databases, SAP equipment data, and monitoring schedules.
• Investigate excavation damages, mapping issues, blasting tickets, and cast-iron encroachment concerns.
• Coordinate with field operations, mark-out technicians, municipalities, regulatory agencies, customers, and third-party contractors.
• Promote safety awareness and train company, second-party, and third-party personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience, associate degree with 7 or more years, or high school diploma/GED with 10 or more years and completion of the relevant progression program.
• Knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance and federal and state industry regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and AMPP CP-1 certification; operator qualifications for natural gas must be obtained and maintained.
• Supervisory, communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
• Must be available after hours for storms, emergencies, and critical assignments.
