Salary: $128,000–$192,000 annually, plus a discretionary annual incentive plan.

What you will do

  • Administer the regional corrosion control program and oversee design, installation, operation, and maintenance of corrosion control facilities.
  • Supervise corrosion supervisors, technicians, contractors, and related personnel, including staffing, training, performance evaluations, and safety response preparation.
  • Plan and direct corrosion control projects, priorities, schedules, contracts, and external contractor work.
  • Develop and monitor capital and maintenance budgets, expenditures, staffing levels, and project cost estimates.
  • Design corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and protective coating requirements.
  • Investigate field corrosion issues, analyze survey data, resolve cathodic protection and interference problems, and support regulatory audits.

Requirements

  • 10 years of corrosion-related experience, including at least five years with responsible charge for designing, constructing, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex corrosion control systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7–10 years of combined experience in engineering, project management, quality control, DOT pipeline safety, or risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of pipeline operations, project and risk management, engineering principles, DOT Part 195 regulations, cathodic protection, corrosion instrumentation, and petroleum pipeline coatings.
  • Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.
  • Onsite work is required at one of the listed California or Arizona terminal locations.

Nice to have

  • NACE International Corrosion or Cathodic Protection Specialist certification.
  • Registered Professional Corrosion Engineer license.
