Supervisor, Field Engineering Design (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Manchester, NH, United States. Hybrid schedule requiring at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays; employees must be able to work up to five days in the office when needed. Travel between MA, CT, and NH may be required, along with emergency restoration assignments.

Salary: $129,660–$144,070 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Direct, coordinate, and supervise field engineering designers, including assigning and prioritizing work.
• Lead the development and review of preliminary and detailed designs, estimates, work orders, and construction plans for electric distribution projects.
• Provide technical guidance for customer work, maintenance, project installations, system priorities, and emergency situations.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate engineering staff while promoting safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, contractors, customers, and regulatory agencies on cross-functional projects and process improvements.
• Support storm response, damage assessment, system modeling, project and budget reviews, and regulatory commitments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related technical experience; an ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology degree is preferred.
• At least five years of related technical experience; electric distribution and supervisory experience are preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of electric distribution standards, regulations, engineering specifications, applicable codes, union agreements, and utility procedures.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code and National Electrical Code.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and company systems such as Maximo, DARS, outage management systems, Workday, Workforce, Power Plan, and Power BI.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for travel between MA, CT, and NH and emergency restoration assignments are required.
