Project Engineer (Gas Policy & Compliance)

Location: MA-Westborough (Technology Dr), United States; travel between MA, CT, and NH is required, including emergency restoration assignments outside normal work hours and location.

Salary: $116,370–$129,300 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Plan, develop, schedule, and perform engineering assignments related to pipeline safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain company standards supporting compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and codes.
• Analyze new and revised Massachusetts and Connecticut regulations and support implementation planning.
• Monitor regulatory updates, industry practices, and emerging compliance trends, communicating changes to stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources, documentation, training inputs, and cross-functional compliance initiatives.
• Support gas distribution system restoration efforts during emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of related engineering experience.
• Knowledge of gas distribution construction, maintenance practices, governmental codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements and use Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Gas industry experience.
• Understanding of Operator Qualification Programs and related training.
