Senior Underwriter / Analyst - Commercial Surety

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The role includes travel 10–25% of the time.

Annual base salary: CAD 88,320–132,480, plus potential performance-based case incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of commercial surety business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts within hirify.global’ risk appetite and underwriting authority.
• Build relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with brokers to market hirify.global products and develop and retain accounts.
• Identify new business opportunities and execute sales plans to meet retention and growth targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related discipline.
• At least two years of finance-related, insurance, or underwriting experience; three to five years is preferred.
• Knowledge of management liability, professional liability, or surety products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong financial analysis, critical thinking, communication, and broker negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s license or alternative means of transportation.
• Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding designation is preferred.
