TL;DR
Senior Financial Analyst (Insurance Program) (Financial Operations): Supporting financial oversight of Brookfield’s consolidated insurance program through allocation analysis, liquidity management, financial operations, and reporting. Focus on reconciling multi-entity financial data, forecasting premium cash flows, preparing captive insurance reporting, and improving operational controls and automation.

Location: hirify.global Place, 181 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; full-time onsite

Annual base salary: CAD 95,000–110,000; exempt, paid bi-weekly.

What you will do

  • Support annual insurance program allocations by validating inputs, performing reconciliations and variance analysis, and preparing allocation reports.
  • Manage quarterly and off-cycle premium adjustments related to asset acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Maintain cash flow forecasts, monitor liquidity, and support budgeting and liquidity planning for insurance costs.
  • Track letters of credit, intercompany funding, loans, investments, premium collections, vendor payments, and claims remittances.
  • Prepare financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, management reports, and supporting schedules for captive insurance entities.
  • Support tax calculations, regulatory filings, statutory audits, financial controls, and process automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, audit, or financial operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, or liquidity planning.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems such as ERP platforms.

Nice to have

  • Experience with multi-entity environments and complex organizational structures.
  • Knowledge of insurance programs, captive insurance structures, or regulated entities.
  • Exposure to cost allocation methodologies, financial modeling, or financial analysis.
