Project Manager for Agile Space Projects (Space)

Location: Hybrid in Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain. Includes up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area. A relocation package is available for candidates from other countries.

What you will do

• Define mission objectives, success criteria, and technical roadmaps aligned with customer priorities.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and contractual baselines.
• Lead trade-offs involving performance, cost, risk, and schedule.
• Coordinate incremental mission capability deliveries alongside traditional space milestones such as PDR, CDR, FAT, and OSAT.
• Manage risks and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with customers, technical teams, stakeholders, and major industry primes.

Requirements

• Experience in project management and systems engineering within the space sector.
• Experience managing space projects in agile environments and combining traditional space project cycles with agile methodologies.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, decision-making, and execution skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and ECSS standards.
• Experience working in complex and multidisciplinary environments.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Experience in space operations and launchers.
• Professional proficiency in German, French, or Italian.
