TL;DR
Lead Scheduler (Telestaff): Managing and reviewing operational schedules across emergency, community care, fleet, air ambulance, payroll, and human resources programs with an accent on scheduling software, staffing coverage, and compliance. Focus on directing scheduling staff, resolving payroll errors, coordinating shift coverage, and generating reports for planning and evaluation.

Location: New Brunswick, Canada; Moncton. Hybrid and remote work available.

What you will do

  • Manage and direct scheduling staff, including regular status meetings and user support.
  • Create, review, and maintain master schedules to ensure timely coverage of vacancies and absences.
  • Manage scheduling software issues, upgrades, patches, testing, setup requests, and process changes.
  • Coordinate scheduling matters with operations, fleet, air ambulance, human resources, payroll, and external partners.
  • Process schedule changes, shift exchanges, time off, training needs, call-outs, and staffing reports.
  • Reconcile payroll errors in Telestaff and support accurate reporting of staffing hours.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, project management, health sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a scheduler with hands-on scheduling software experience, preferably Telestaff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets, word processing, and database software.
  • Knowledge of collective agreements, applicable legislation, and governing documents.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; understanding of application programming, databases, system design, statistics, and data analysis.
