Facilities Technician

Location: Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Regular travel across the province, including some overnight travel, is required.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair building interiors and exteriors, including painting, filling gaps, cleaning, flooring, roofing, and minor construction.
• Perform light installation and carpentry work, including cabinet construction and installation.
• Assist with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and generator maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct routine facility and equipment inspections, scheduled maintenance, and mini-split, HVAC, and generator cleaning.
• Identify major repair requirements, oversee contractors, and prepare digital work orders and invoices.
• Complete assigned and emergency tasks, including snow removal, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent qualification, or trade certification.
• 10 or more years of relevant experience.
• Valid minimum Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
• Solid experience with plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, tools, electrical equipment, HVAC systems, safety practices, building codes, and basic math; candidates must be bondable and well organized.

Nice to have

• Bilingualism.
• Experience working as a laborer.
• Experience in finish or rough carpentry, roofing, flooring installation, cabinet installation, painting, or mechanical repair.
