Service Electrician

Location: Surrey, Canada; traveling and out-of-town work may be required.

Salary: CAD $55.89 per hour, paid weekly at the B-Chargehand service wage.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems.
• Work with fire alarm systems, electrical distribution, HVAC controls, and lighting control systems.
• Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours callouts when required.
• Conduct site visits, assess client needs, and prepare small estimates and quotes.
• Manage work orders, communicate with clients and internal teams, and develop service opportunities.
• Lead small projects and crews, mentor apprentices, and support safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Certified Journeyperson Electrician; Red Seal preferred.
• At least 4 years of Journeyperson experience and 2 years in a Service Electrician role.
• Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record and driver’s abstract.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and proven troubleshooting skills.
• Current IBEW Local 213 membership or willingness to join; FSR certification is an asset.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Background, security, and drug screening may apply.
