Maintenance Assistant - Charlotte, NC

What you will do

• Maintain electrical infrastructure by changing lights and ballasts, replacing switches and outlets, and completing repairs according to safety codes.
• Maintain plumbing infrastructure, including float valves, vacuum breakers, Sloan valves, and hot water tanks.
• Perform carpentry work such as installing computer keypad trays, hanging pictures and banners, and adjusting door closures.
• Move desks, cabinets, boxes, and other equipment safely without damaging facilities or furnishings.
• Perform office, elevator, machine, grounds, and parking-lot cleaning and janitorial duties.
• Support facilities projects, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, service or machinery, and basic HVAC.
• Ability to use hand tools, small power tools, voltage testers, and continuity testers, and to read blueprints.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not provided.
