Facilities Operations Technician

Location: On-site in Shelby, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $18.00–$30.22 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine facility maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, drywall and plaster repair, painting, basic plumbing, office furniture installation, and space reconfigurations.
• Maintain security system devices, doors, locks, office equipment, supplies, tools, and company vehicles.
• Complete building equipment maintenance checklists, scheduled maintenance records, facility assessments, and fire system testing documentation.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and serve as a primary contact for facility-related security and emergencies.
• Coordinate with maintenance contractors, obtain estimates, and order repair parts and supplies.
• Perform outside custodial duties, including snow removal when necessary.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of relevant facility or mechanical equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience with carpentry repairs, office furniture installation, basic plumbing, and painting.
• Proficiency with hand tools and small power tools.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail and quality.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree in construction or maintenance is preferred.

Nice to have

• Two-year associate degree in construction or maintenance.
• Microsoft Office experience.
