What you will do

• Perform routine plumbing repairs, lighting replacements, and electrical-related repairs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Maintain facility equipment and grounds, including tasks involving light equipment operation, carpentry, painting, and locksmith work.
• Read blueprints, machine manuals, and schematic drawings to support maintenance work.
• Work independently on recurring assignments and assist with more complex maintenance tasks.
• Apply OSHA safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience with mechanical responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work for up to 12 hours while standing or sitting.
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces and respond to sounds and hazardous situations.
• Ability to work in bright, hot, humid, and low-light conditions with exposure to limited hazardous chemicals.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary trade or vocational school education.
• Equivalent practical experience in lieu of formal trade or vocational education.
