IT Solutions Architect - Networking

Location: Hybrid, with regular onsite presence in Somerset, NJ or Austin, TX, USA

Estimated annual pay range: $180,000–$220,000, including base salary.

What you will do

• Design, configure, operate, and optimize Cisco and Meraki wired and wireless enterprise networks.
• Engineer campus and branch LAN/WAN connectivity, routing, switching, resiliency, high availability, and failover.
• Integrate network access with Cisco ISE using 802.1X, MAB, posture policies, and segmentation.
• Lead incident triage, root-cause analysis, change implementation, upgrades, and lifecycle refreshes.
• Monitor network health and performance using telemetry and network-management tools, improving alerts, KPIs, and operational runbooks.
• Automate repeatable tasks and reporting with scripts and APIs while mentoring junior engineers and partnering with service desk, security, infrastructure, and application teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience supporting and engineering enterprise networks.
• Expert-level Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting and advanced experience with Cisco and/or Meraki wired and wireless environments.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, high availability, network resiliency, firewalls, NAT, VPN, cloud networking, and security controls.
• Proficiency with identity and access integrations, including 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, and network segmentation.
• Experience with network monitoring, IT service management, scripting, and automation using PowerShell, Python, or APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience; strong communication, analytical, collaboration, and mentorhirify.globalp skills.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, and/or Meraki CMNA certification.
• Enterprise Cisco ISE design and policy administration experience.
• Wireless surveys, RF analysis, and spectrum analysis experience.
• Network automation, configuration management, or infrastructure tooling experience.
