Senior Network Systems Architect (Cisco Meraki/Azure)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, or Novato, California. Hybrid work model with onsite work typically required 2–3 days per week or more depending on business needs.

Annual salary: $161,200–$199,200 USD, plus eligibility for annual bonus and equity incentives.

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate hybrid infrastructure using Cisco Meraki, Azure networking services, and Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Design scalable Meraki templates and maintain consistent network deployments across locations.
• Build and maintain resilient Azure hub-and-spoke architectures with segmentation, traffic control, and multi-region failover.
• Develop network architecture documentation, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Serve as an escalation point for L1/L2/L3 network and systems issues, incident response, change control, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Plan, procure, and provision global circuits while collaborating with telecom carriers, MSPs, security, infrastructure, and compliance teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in network and systems architecture across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Cisco ASA, Azure Firewall, and Azure network design and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, IPsec, high-availability configurations, Azure routing, UDRs, NAT gateways, VPN/ExpressRoute gateways, and NVA architectures.
• Experience managing or collaborating with MSPs, supporting global operations, and provisioning circuits through telecom carriers.
• Strong production troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage incident response, change control, capacity planning, documentation, and evolving infrastructure needs.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
• Experience with zero-trust network design, hybrid cloud security, and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Python, Terraform, and Ansible for network automation.
• CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent certification; bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
