Senior Enterprise Network Design Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Manhattan, New York — onsite; travel 10–15% to locations throughout New York and New Jersey.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and document Cisco WAN and LAN solutions for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Lead technical consulting engagements and provide project leadership from network design through deployment.
• Implement and manage Cisco SD-WAN, Viptela, and Fortinet solutions.
• Deploy and maintain enterprise wireless networks using Cisco Wireless Controllers, Access Points, and Meraki Wireless and Switching.
• Configure EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, HSRP, multicast, QoS, and bandwidth reservation capabilities.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, plan for growth, and maintain network diagrams and documentation in Visio.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, deploying, and documenting Cisco WAN and LAN solutions in large enterprise environments.
• 10+ years of technical consulting and project leadership experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco SD-WAN, Viptela, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco Wireless Controllers.
• Strong knowledge of EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN technologies, network analysis, and performance monitoring.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and related network infrastructure, with strong documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, provide technical leadership, and manage time effectively.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Cisco Identity Services Engine, Agile methodology, ITIL-based ticketing systems, or ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of tcpdump, Ethereal, Syslog analysis, Python, Zscaler, Palo Alto or Cisco firewalls, Broadcom AVI load balancing, and Fortinet SD-WAN.
