Field Service Technician (Waterjet)

Location: Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina, within one hour of an international airport; travel to customer sites is required over 75% of the time, Monday–Friday.

Salary: $59,697–$99,494 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Travel to customer sites to install, configure, assemble, test, and repair OMAX Waterjet equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, software, and CNC/PLC issues on installed equipment.
• Perform contract maintenance and provide post-installation technical support by phone and email.
• Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and software programming.
• Maintain detailed digital service records with photos and technical attachments, and report product issues from the field.
• Support sales teams during trade show demonstrations and pre-sales customer visits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of field technical service or related experience.
• At least two years of experience with cutting solutions products.
• Hands-on ability with multimeters, electrical schematics, software utilities, torque wrenches, and dial indicators.
• Solid fundamentals in electrical, mechanical, CNC, and PLC systems, plus strong computer skills with Windows, drivers, firmware, and file management.
• Fluent English and a valid driver’s license recognized in all 50 states are required.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and grip over 70 pounds, crawl and climb into machines, and stand for extended periods on hard surfaces.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in an electrical or mechanical field.
• Experience in cutting solutions operations or manufacturing assembly.
