What you will do

• Develop new technologies and explore novel pathways for next-generation gene synthesis.
• Lead research into high-throughput, low-cost, and high-fidelity gene synthesis methods.
• Address technical challenges involving difficult sequences and long-fragment genes.
• Optimize existing workflows to improve synthesis efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues arising during development.
• Track research trends and conduct literature reviews.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of gene synthesis experience.
• Strong expertise in gene cloning, plasmid extraction, E. coli transformation and culture, PCR/qPCR, Gibson Assembly, and Golden Gate Assembly.
• Experience with E. coli genome editing, including homologous recombination and CRISPR-Cas9, and targeted host-strain modification.
• Ability to solve complex sequence problems involving high-GC content, highly repetitive sequences, toxic genes, and large-fragment assembly.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software.

Nice to have

• Bioinformatics programming and analysis experience.
