Mid-Level Platform System Engineer - DOW

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. On-site only; remote and telework are not available. Day shift. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $115,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

What you will do

• Develop and design solutions that improve efficiency, security, and sustainability within Platform MDSEA frameworks.
• Conduct studies and analyses, define requirements, and engineer preliminary and detailed platform architectures.
• Support enterprise services, satellite ground systems, operations centers, and supporting facilities through the full engineering lifecycle.
• Document designs and create implementation and test plans for sustainment personnel.
• Coordinate integration with engineers, system administrators, cybersecurity, test, project management, software, network, and application teams.
• Work with project managers to define tasks and schedules and drive initiatives to completion.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of general full-time work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting or managing IT systems engineering or architecture in a DoD or commercial enterprise.
• Fundamental understanding of requirements analysis and management principles.
• Proficient understanding of the systems engineering V-Model and engineering lifecycle.
• Active DoW Secret security clearance required, with the ability to obtain DoW Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Linux administration, DoD or MDA organizations, DoDAF, SysML, MBSE tools, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Relevant certifications such as INCOSE ASEP or CompTIA Security+.
