Systems Engineer II

Salary: $105,000–$145,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and maintain systems engineering plans, configuration management plans, risk management plans, integrated master plans and schedules, and DoDAF products.
• Manage technical performance for the CMFF program, including requirements decomposition, software-intensive system management, system-of-systems integration planning, and Agile development planning.
• Perform requirements analysis, derivation, allocation, documentation, and traceability.
• Support system architecture, modeling and simulation, sensor and system design, and hardware, software, and network integration.
• Plan and support platform integration, testing, validation, experimentation, field demonstrations, and formal engineering reviews.
• Assess technical and programmatic risks, vendor progress, interoperability, sustainment, operational impacts, and technical feasibility against cost and schedule objectives.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Systems Engineering with at least three years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD systems, or a relevant master’s degree with at least one year of experience.
• Experience developing or maintaining systems engineering plans, requirements documentation, risk management artifacts, or configuration management documentation.
• Understanding of the systems engineering life cycle, including requirements, architecture, integration, verification, validation, and test and evaluation.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical information and communicate clear recommendations to technical and program leadership.
• Strong written, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
