Systems Engineer

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States. Workplace: On-site. Occasional travel of up to 10% is required.

Salary: $97,000–$181,000 per year.

What you will do

• Translate customer requirements into detailed system designs and technical specifications.
• Develop system alternatives, conduct trade studies, and recommend solutions against defined requirements.
• Create and maintain system models, diagrams, user roles, personas, access controls, and technical documentation.
• Develop verification and validation procedures, support system testing, and participate in technical reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system integration, performance analysis, technical risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
• Maintain requirements traceability and evaluate emerging technologies for potential system enhancements.

Requirements

• Active SECRET Security Clearance is required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Junior level: 0–3 years of experience and a bachelor's degree; CSSLP, GCLD, or GSEC certification.
• Journeyman level: 4–7 years of experience and a bachelor's degree.
• Senior level: 8+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree; FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, or SSCP certification.
• Professional English proficiency, strong communication skills, a self-starter mindset, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
