Systems Engineer (O&M)

Location: Onsite in Chantilly, Virginia; no remote or telework allowed

Projected annual compensation: $110,204.91–$179,802.75. A $5,000 salary figure is also listed in the posting.

What you will do

• Maintain, install, patch, and update operational internal and COTS systems.
• Review system architecture, design documentation, network designs, and security processes.
• Diagnose mission-network issues and provide technical solutions.
• Develop and administer requirements for cybersecurity tools and assess information systems for validation.
• Coordinate technical strategies and plans with inter-agency partners and support operations governance.
• Develop CONOPS documentation and forecast technologies relevant to the mission area.

Requirements

• Active and maintainable TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of experience, master’s degree with 6–8 years, PhD with 3–5 years, or equivalent experience in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience developing documented, actionable, measurable, testable, and traceable requirements.
• Experience analyzing projects and programs to identify technical risks affecting capability delivery.
• Experience developing Concept of Operations diagrams and coordinating with project stakeholders.
• Experience independently assessing technical risks and recommending improvements to technical functionality.
