Systems Engineer - Mission Software (GEOINT)

What you will do

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and requirements analysis across the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Develop and maintain system models and manage requirements artifacts using Jira and Confluence.
• Conduct user outreach and requirements elicitation sessions.
• Collaborate with software architects within an Agile Scrum team to align the software architecture with mission requirements.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required to start.
• Experience with Cameo for SysML/UML system modeling.
• Experience defining requirements and creating artifacts in Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in a Scrum or Agile development team.
• Experience with functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition.
• Experience analyzing and designing system architectures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GEOINT analytic workflows.
• Familiarity with Cedalion or Orchestration Services applications.
• Experience on a software-focused systems engineering program.
• Experience conducting user outreach and requirements elicitation sessions.
• AI prompting techniques applied to systems engineering tasks.
