Senior Mechanical Engineer - Reliability & Maintainability

What you will do

• Lead product modifications, sustaining engineering initiatives, and new product development for generator set products.
• Create diagnostic manuals and technical documentation in collaboration with OEMs, engineering, and technical publications teams.
• Contribute reliability, maintainability, and serviceability expertise to concept, design, serviceability, and product performance reviews.
• Troubleshoot field issues and develop design improvements that meet reliability, cost, and performance requirements.
• Use CAD and engineering analysis tools to create and review drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Plan and execute product testing, validation, risk assessments, and cross-functional technical projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with SolidWorks or Creo.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and engineering design software.
• Knowledge of machine design and methods for improving maintainability, serviceability, and reliability.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, project management, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering, quality, sourcing, operations, service, and external partners.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of service or maintenance engineering experience.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
• Experience in product design, service, and sustaining engineering in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
