Mechanical/Reliability Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Chambers Works, Deepwater, New Jersey, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $97,843–$152,880 annually, plus a 6% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Provide mechanical engineering support to manufacturing operations, projects, equipment, and facilities.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support modifications in collaboration with Technology, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis for equipment failures and develop mechanical reliability improvement strategies.
• Create equipment maintenance plans covering inspections, predictive and preventive maintenance, critical spares, and SAP data.
• Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and uptime to recommend improvements and reduce life-cycle costs.
• Train and coach operations and maintenance personnel in reliability techniques and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of mechanical engineering experience in chemical manufacturing, a hazardous industrial setting, or a related industry.
• Ability to lead through influence, make decisions independently, and communicate with a broad audience.
• Initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, teamwork, and a hands-on approach.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other non-immigrant status sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or a hazardous industrial setting.
• SAP Plant Maintenance experience and knowledge of reliability practices, rotating equipment, alignment, lubrication, tribology, vibration analysis, and nondestructive testing.
• Experience with RCFA, FMEA, data analysis, failure analysis, engineering standards, cost and capital analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
