Senior Engineer - Mechanical (Automotive)

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States; on-site role

Salary: $73,200.00–$117,800.00 per year

What you will do

• Act as the on-site Design Engineering representative for assigned vehicle systems and provide daily technical support to manufacturing operations.
• Lead root-cause investigations for production issues and drive corrective actions with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
• Communicate technical issues, risk assessments, and corrective-action status to plant leadership and Design Engineering.
• Perform engineering calculations, investigations, technical analyses, and documentation in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Manage projects of limited complexity, potentially overseeing multiple projects and collaborating with suppliers and internal support disciplines.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations, and mentor entry-level engineers, designers, or technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Three or more years of related engineering experience.
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
• Experience in a high-volume production environment.
• Experience with a high-level CAD system.
• Regular attendance is required; certain assignments may require U.S. Person status for access to controlled goods and technologies.
