Engineer Sr - Mechanical (Heavy Equipment)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; regular onsite attendance is required.

Salary: $73,200–$117,800 per year.

What you will do

• Support the full product lifecycle for JLG's current boom equipment portfolio.
• Perform engineering calculations, investigations, analysis, root-cause determination, and component or system redesign.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, reliability, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, bills of material, technical proposals, reports, and presentations.
• Provide production support, resolve engineering issues, and maintain project documentation.
• Manage multiple projects and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, product management, compliance teams, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Three or more years of related engineering experience.
• Mechanical engineering background is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-equipment design and related systems, including fabrication, powertrain, drivetrain, hydraulics, electrical systems, controls, or reliability.
• Experience with a high-level CAD system such as Creo Parametric, CATIA, or NX.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, communication, organization, teamwork, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the construction industry and trades involved in commercial building projects.
• Experience mentoring entry-level engineers, designers, or technicians.
