Engineer II - Design & Analysis (Polymer Design): Designing and analyzing components and assemblies, selecting materials, and delivering products that meet customer requirements with an accent on polymer materials, 3D CAD, testing, and technical documentation. Focus on conducting moderately complex design analysis, validating product performance, investigating failure modes, and coordinating solutions across customers, sales, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.

What you will do
- Interpret customer technical requirements and select, design, and deliver products using available materials and manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support to customers, sales, manufacturing, and quality teams, including visits to customer sites when required.
- Recommend materials, review specifications, and generate or approve design proposals, drawings, and production documentation.
- Conduct moderately complex design analysis on components and assemblies using engineering principles and established protocols.
- Define testing, qualification, and validation methods; prepare and approve technical reports.
- Analyze returned products to identify failure modes and recommend design or product improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or an appropriate technical field.
- 3–6 years of experience in an engineering or design environment.
- Experience with 3D CAD software.
- Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, solve engineering problems, and maintain accurate design documentation.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of FEA systems.
- Experience in polymer, plastics, or elastomer design and manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles; White Belt certification is preferred.
