Forensic Structural Engineer, PE (Mississippi Area)

Location: Fully remote, with the ideal candidate based in the Mississippi area and supporting cases in the surrounding area. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct forensic investigations of structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion, premises liability claims, and roof conditions.
• Perform site inspections and collect data to support forensic analysis.
• Apply civil and structural engineering principles to assess structural issues.
• Prepare clear technical reports documenting findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Stay current with structural engineering codes, standards, and industry trends while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice to have

• Forensic engineering experience.
• Experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.
