People Business Partner

Location: Hybrid in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, 3 days per week

What you will do

• Partner with North American business leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, performance, and employee relations.
• Own the employee lifecycle for assigned client groups, including onboarding, development, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
• Coach managers and lead talent, succession, and performance conversations.
• Support change management and the current merger integration.
• Build AI into talent reviews, manager enablement, engagement listening, and other People processes.
• Collaborate with People partners across seven countries to create a coherent global employee experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive HR or People experience, including at least 3 years partnering with senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian labor law and the ability to act as the Canadian subject-matter expert.
• Experience in a technology, agency, creative, professional services, or other fast-moving project-based environment.
• Experience building or rebuilding processes, programs, or operating models.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance, compensation fundamentals, employment law, and organizational design.
• Regular hands-on use of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini; a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
