Lead, People Business Partner

Location: Hybrid in Etobicoke, Ontario, with office attendance 3 days per week

Salary: CA$120K–CA$125K per year

Company

Develops software for managing large-scale EV charger networks, including a Charging Station Management System and open APIs used by building owners, convenience stores, utilities, and fleets.

What you will do

• Partner with executives and team leaders on total compensation strategy and organization-wide people initiatives.
• Build scalable policies and programs covering remote work, leaves, in-person gatherings, harassment training, and diversity and inclusion.
• Own and evolve the employee handbook while advising on employment compliance across Canada and the US.
• Design the employee experience across onboarding, career development, performance management, and offboarding.
• Coach managers through difficult conversations and performance management.
• Monitor culture and morale through employee listening mechanisms and lead cross-functional culture initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of people or HR experience, including 1–2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strategic business partnering experience on multi-year, organization-wide people initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices across Canada and the US.
• Experience working with PEOs or outsourced employment providers.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills, with discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Degree in human resources or a related field, with the ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders.
