Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States. Strong preference for candidates based in or near San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Denver, or New York; San Francisco employees are highly encouraged to attend the office one day per week.

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, make product decisions, and ship meaningful updates.
• Design behavioral loops using social sharing, challenges, achievements, and user-generated content to grow community participation.
• Create membership experiences that scale across markets while maintaining local relevance.
• Design motion systems and transition effects that guide attention and confirm user actions.
• Use AI tools and front-end code to explore concepts, communicate ideas, and develop prototypes.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience researching, designing, and shipping consumer-facing digital product features across iOS, Android, and web.
• Experience taking ideas from concept through release and learning from post-launch performance.
• Strong visual, interaction, motion, and product execution judgment.
• Ability to use code and AI-generated prototypes as design exploration tools.
• Fluency in prompting, contextualizing, evaluating, and iterating AI-generated output.
• Strong design systems thinking and the ability to grow online communities.

Nice to have

• Experience with outdoor activities such as hiking, running, camping, or climbing.
• Experience designing subscription products or for international audiences.
• Experience building AI-native products, agentic workflows, or multimodal interfaces.
• Illustration skills, color theory knowledge, and visual storytelling experience.
