Senior AI Product Designer

Location: United States, Remote

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end UX definition for a product area, translating user goals into interface elements and product behavior with Product partners.
• Make and communicate quality-versus-speed and scope-versus-fidelity trade-offs that keep releases moving.
• Build expertise in military planners’ workflows through direct user meetings, workflow mapping, and documentation of human and organizational context.
• Own pattern decisions for the product area and contribute to hirify.global’s broader design language and design system.
• Evaluate emerging AI UX patterns and combine AI-native workflows with traditional design foundations across multiple fidelities.
• Document design intent through visual and written artifacts for human collaborators and agentic tools.

Requirements

• Track record of independently owning UX definition for a product area or workflow from user needs through shipped interface decisions.
• Expertise in foundational UX/UI concepts, interaction design, accessibility, and articulating design trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with direct user research, workflow mapping, and actionable documentation.
• Experience leading strategic and tactical implementation of a major AI-based workflow in a SaaS application.
• Advanced user of AI design tools with intermediate knowledge of foundational models and their trade-offs.
• Experience contributing to design systems and advancing team workflows with AI tools and practices.
