AI Product Designer

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 annually plus equity for Senior-level scope; $185,000–$230,000 annually plus equity for Staff-level scope.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end UX definition for a product area, from user research and problem definition through shipped interface decisions.
• Research user workflows through interviews, direct conversations, workflow mapping, and structured documentation.
• Define interaction patterns and contribute to a cohesive design language and design system across the product.
• Evaluate and apply emerging AI user-experience patterns to appropriate workflows and use cases.
• Use AI-powered design tools and AI-native workflows to accelerate exploration, execution, and quality.
• Partner with Product and Engineering, communicate design rationale, and improve team-wide design workflows.

Requirements

• Experience independently owning UX for a complex product area or workflow from research through delivery.
• Strong expertise in UX/UI, interaction design, product design, accessibility, and communicating trade-offs between quality, speed, scope, and fidelity.
• Hands-on experience with user research, interviews, workflow mapping, and documentation.
• Experience implementing a significant AI-powered workflow within a SaaS application.
• Advanced proficiency with AI-powered design tools and workflows, plus intermediate understanding of foundation models and their practical trade-offs.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and communicate design decisions clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to design-system or pattern decisions beyond an individual project.
• Participation in the design systems community through writing, speaking, open-source work, or similar contributions.
• Experience improving team-wide use of AI tools and design methodologies.
