Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Calgary or Edmonton, Canada

What you will do

• Work as the designer embedded in a product team alongside a product manager and tech lead.
• Participate in discovery sessions with clients and end users to identify usability risks and needs.
• Create fast, interactive prototypes, test them with users, and iterate based on observed behavior and feedback.
• Design enterprise AI products that customers can understand, use, and adopt.
• Work within the shared design system and improve patterns and standards based on research findings.
• Define precise design standards that support AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating shipped software products and an understanding of how users interacted with them.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, iterative design, Figma, and AI-assisted design tools.
• Experience participating in user discovery and speaking directly with users.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both engineers and users.
• Accessibility expertise, including designing for government and public-sector requirements.
• Ability to create traction in a fast-moving and evolving design environment.
