Senior Vice President, Operations (Nuclear Operations)

Location: Washington, DC; Columbia, SC; or Lexington, KY

Salary: $300,000–$350,000 annually, paid bi-weekly, less applicable withholdings and deductions.

What you will do

• Build TNC’s nuclear operating organization, including its structure, staffing model, qualification requirements, training program, and safety culture.
• Establish operating procedures and readiness plans for emergency, abnormal, and normal plant operations before fuel load.
• Lead the commissioning handoff, fuel-load readiness assessment, NRC pre-operational inspections, initial criticality, power ascension testing, and transition to commercial operation.
• Own safe, reliable, and efficient fleet operations, including outage management, operating licenses, corrective action programs, performance metrics, and INPO and WANO engagement.
• Develop operational readiness advisory services for utilities and partners, covering organizational design, staffing, procedures, training, and readiness assessments.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in nuclear plant operations, including direct senior leadership accountability at a US nuclear generating station as a Plant Manager, Vice President of Operations, or equivalent.
• Experience building or significantly restructuring a nuclear operating organization from the ground up.
• Senior executive-level accountability for plant performance metrics, INPO evaluation outcomes, and corrective action program health.
• Demonstrated leadership in nuclear safety culture, behavioral standards, corrective action discipline, and safety-conscious work environments.
• Commercial judgment and communication skills to represent operational readiness capabilities to external partners and utilities.
• NRC-licensed Senior Reactor Operator or equivalent operating authority experience is strongly preferred, as are nuclear new-build, plant restart, and initial fuel-load experience.
