Head of Finance (VP-Level)

Location: 100% remote within the USA

Salary: $190,000–$250,000 per year base pay, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Colorado range: $200,000–$230,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

hirify.global develops veterinary software, including a procurement marketplace, home-delivery ecommerce platform, and practice management system used by veterinary hospitals across the United States.

What you will do

• Lead financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Build a scalable FP&A function with financial models, dashboards, and performance reporting.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Operations, and Customer Success leaders to support data-driven decisions.
• Oversee accounting operations, including the general ledger, payroll, tax, invoicing, reconciliations, and US GAAP compliance.
• Manage financial systems, cash flow, audits, tax filings, financial reporting, and board materials.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience in strategic finance, ideally within a growth-stage or late-stage startup.
• Strong experience in FP&A, strategic finance, and operational modeling.
• Proficiency in US GAAP, audits, compliance, financial planning processes, and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks, Google Sheets or Excel, and finance software.
• Excellent analytical, executive-level written, and verbal communication skills; highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in ecommerce, SaaS, or marketplace businesses.
• QuickBooks Online experience.
• Experience implementing AI-native solutions for finance.
