FP&A Manager (SaaS)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote (USA)

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Own annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasts, and the rolling operating model covering revenue, headcount, and expenses.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages with variance analysis and clear commentary on business drivers.
• Build board and investor reporting materials with the Head of FP&A and VP of Finance.
• Track and improve SaaS efficiency metrics, including CAC payback, magic number, gross margin, and burn efficiency.
• Improve planning and reporting infrastructure, including systems, data flows, and source-of-truth definitions across ERP, CRM, and planning tools.
• Partner with department leaders on headcount planning, spend management, budget reviews, and strategic financial modeling.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting, including meaningful exposure to high-growth SaaS.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and expert fluency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, planning, reporting, and revenue recognition.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn complex analysis into actionable recommendations.
• High ownership and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
• Work from San Francisco, CA or remotely within the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with modern planning tools such as Pigment, Runway, Mosaic, or Anaplan.
• Comfort with SQL or BI tools.
