What you will do

• Own day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, vendor management, and payment approvals.
• Lead monthly close processes, revenue recognition, and financial reporting to ensure accurate books.
• Manage tax filings, compliance, and financial operations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Build financial models, cash flow forecasts, runway analyses, and scenario planning to support decision-making.
• Partner with leadership on fundraising, investor reporting, due diligence, and board materials.
• Improve internal financial processes, policies, and tooling to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• 3+ years experience in investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or startup finance, preferably in high-growth B2B SaaS.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Experience owning core finance operations including month-end close, revenue recognition, accounts payable, and receivable.
• Ability to build financial models independently and communicate insights influencing business decisions.
• High ownership and ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting venture-backed startups through fundraising, investor diligence, or board reporting.
• Experience managing legal operations including contracts, NDA/DPA workflows, and coordination with outside counsel.
