Location: Plaquemine, Louisiana, United States; onsite work supporting the Plaquemine manufacturing site

What you will do
- Lead technical procurement activities for materials supporting site production, maintenance, repair, and CAPEX requirements.
- Produce and manage RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate commercial terms, warranties, guarantees, indemnities, liabilities, and remedies.
- Manage more than 300 vendors, identify new suppliers, and reduce project and asset schedule risks through supplier diversification.
- Supervise the warehouse Store Clerk and lead warehouse operations, inventory availability, and working-capital optimization.
- Maintain SAP material master data and agreements, process purchase requisitions, and issue complete and timely purchase orders.
- Ensure supplied materials meet safety, regulatory, technical specification, quality, and delivery requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of front-line technical procurement experience in the chemical industry.
- Contract negotiation experience and experience leading teams in a diverse working environment.
- BA/BS degree; a technical background is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, plant maintenance, construction practices, site safety standards, legislation, contract law, and ABC regulations.
- Strong analytical, economic analysis, negotiation, communication, influencing, leadership, MS Office, and SAP skills.
