Global Buyer I – MRO Supplies (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and category management for MRO supplies and outside services, including spare parts, consumables, tools, PPE, repairs, calibration, and maintenance contractors.
• Develop MRO category strategies focused on total cost of ownership, service levels, supply continuity, and demand management.
• Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and monitor supplier performance through reviews, audits, and issue resolution.
• Standardize specifications, rationalize SKUs and suppliers, and implement preferred supplier programs across multiple sites.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Stores teams on budgets, forecasting, inventory, critical spares, VMI, and consignment programs.
• Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, procurement process improvement, and Req-to-PO cycle efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of sourcing and procurement experience focused on MRO supplies and services in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MRO procurement, maintenance supply chains, total cost of ownership, contract negotiation, supplier performance management, and cost reduction.
• Experience managing MRO inventory strategies, critical spares, and working capital optimization.
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, work in a fast-paced multi-site environment, and travel periodically for site support and supplier activities.
